Promotion of “The Box Street Market” event

Luxexpo The Box, a congress and exhibition center located in the Kirchberg district (Luxembourg’s business center), is looking to set up communication initiatives in Luxembourg City, in order to promote their event “The Box Street Market”, the first edition of a new event entirely redesigned for the resumption of post-confinement events in Luxembourg.

Coming out of the frustration of many recently cancelled events in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, this new open-air concept promises to be special, spacious and above all: safe!

Like an outdoor market (the highest level of the Luxexpo parking lot), the event welcomes some sixty exhibitors: food, drinks, music, fashion, decoration, lifestyle… with a capacity of 1100 visitors (taking into account physical distance).

To promote this event and complement other media used, Luxexpo The Box is looking for an impactful and original street marketing campaign to communicate on this event, in short, to make a mark in this context of event recovery in the Grand Duchy.

It’s important to remember the context: a resumption of events following a long period of confinement (COVID-19) with a collective awareness of the need to get things moving (pandemic, pollution, bio etc…).

It’s in this context that mobile signage has emerged as the Street Marketing solution (take a look here to find out more about our street marketing actions).

In fact, the advertising bicycle conveys “noble” values and offers many advantages, particularly in this period of deconfinement:

Eco-responsible approach: no CO² emissions like advertising trucks or vans
Bicycles are in vogue and in tune with the times! Totally in line with government measures to develop soft mobility (e.g.: doubled bonus for the purchase of a bicycle).
Social distancing: visible from afar thanks to its mobility and format, mobile signage encourages social distancing.
Originality: unique on the Luxembourg market, this communication medium leaves no one indifferent.
Max visibility: circuits are designed to cover areas with heavy pedestrian and road traffic (cycle paths).

3 pub bikes and 3 bikers were mobilized over 6 days to criss-cross the streets of Luxembourg City. The route was defined according to peak traffic times, and a dozen or so strategic stopping points were identified to capture the attention of as many passers-by as possible (squares, café terraces, pedestrian intersections, etc.).

Many interested passers-by took photos of the advertising display.
To maximize the “buzz” effect, the 3 advertising bikes rode together (one after the other) on strategic sections of the route. Visibility guaranteed!

In the end, the operation was a resounding success, boosting Luxexpo’s visibility at the event and, above all, making a lasting impression thanks to this original medium that won’t go unnoticed.
